We didn't find the treasure but we had fun looking

I broke the spell-binding attraction that my PC has yesterday and was outdoors all day - on a treasure hunt! It was a really good day, although at one point we got terribly muddled and were stuck! But thanks to the powers of the Internet (how ironic!) we managed to get to the next location which was Buskett and not Portomaso! I actually went to some places that I had never been to before - such as the Gardjola in l-Isla (I'm not too sure how many times I've been to l-Isla either!!) So it was a cultural experience too :) We went round The Three Cities, Buskett, Mdina and ended up at uni (where it started) - and it took us a good few hours! But the fresh air definitely did a lot of good, as did all the walking in Buskett. Exercise for free *lol* Once home I made myself a very good (even tho I say so myself!) plate of pasta bolognaise - not spaghetti cos I didn't have, but some other kind of long pasta which are flat and splatter sauce as much as spaghetti do! Or maybe that's my unrefined eating habits *grin* And I was asleep by 9:30 p.m. and didn't wake up till 9:30 a.m. *whoops*

Today it's back to the old habits and I'm sitting in front of my PC again; however, I have already done some chores, and really want to get some plants for the house, preferably before my mother comes back from abroad. Anyone knows where I can get some nice house plants for nice prices i.e. cheap? :)

Do you think I'm intimidating?

The Gathering of the Bloggers was fun yesterday although I went late and missed the award ceremony and the food!! But it was still good to meet some fellow bloggers and I got the award for the Most Entertaining Blog, although I still cannot figure out how that happened! It is in fact now stuck to the botom right hand corner of my monitor as was advised to me by Maltagirl. Reesa figured out who I was once she saw me!, I met Robert who looks just like his picture - tie and all :P, and had a really good conversation with Mistoqsija (and her man) and will now start to read her blog!

This morning I met up with Mr. Wired Temples himself for coffee in the city, and a bar of Pepermint cream (which I have yet to eat and will then blog about - duh!). I was terribly late as I have problems with punctuality (and waking up!) but we still managed to have a decent chat over a cappucino and fresh orange juice, about quite a diverse range of topics. Now we just have to wait and see if the first impresions will be maintained :P

My year in alcohol

January - there was no journal as yet. And I can't remember what happened! I was probably drunk.

February - my birthday month :) started my journal. Got drunk.

March - Seems like a lot of partying happened in March. I was drunk a lot

April - A month of work, car-fixing and a taste of emotions. Too busy to get drunk.

May - Meetings, rehearsals and the only time I went to Gozo this year. We got drunk there.

June - My stage debut :) and my first wedding of the year. Where we got drunk.

July - Crushes, Harry Potter, new part-time job, new soon-to-be student status. And 1 very drunk night out.

August - No swimming. Long days at work. A couple of good parties. Very drunk.

September - New phone. 2nd car-fixing experience. 2nd batch of rehearsals. 2nd wedding of the year. My last month as a full-time employee. Of course I got drunk.

October - Started my blog. Full-time student. Aspring actress. Uni parties. Crew party aka the party of the year. Trev's farewell. Very very drunk.

November - 3rd wedding of the year. Harry Potter film 4 released. Name in the papers. Not enough drinking.

December - Season of parties. Already got drunk once.

Discreteness is key

December 13 - the day that announces the beginning of TV stations collecting money for anything they may need, want, or just because the other station is doing so.

Like December isn't expensive enough! And then you get your phone bill in January and get a shock because it's anything between Lm10 and Lm20 more expensive than usual. But it's for a worthy (subjective naturally) cause.

At least the party season started :) It opened with an open bar party yesterday which was lots of fun. Next parties are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, and then there's the Blogger's meet on the 22nd :) I'm sure there'll be some more partying in between those dates too.

Sometimes I'm just happy being a follower

I'm flighty. There's no other way to describe it. I love waking up in the morning with nothing to do; but I love waking up in the morning and looking at my checklist for the day. I love being out during the day when the sun is shining; but I love late-night outings. I'm happy with a hot-dog from some hole-in-the-wall take-away, but I like being wined-and-dined at a posh restaurant.

I don't even know if this is a good thing or a bad thing?! Maybe it's good because it means that I'm not extremely finicky about things and am easily contented; but it could also be that I'm just fickle!

I'm so opinionated about things, yet so easily say 'Yeah, choose whatever. I don't mind' regarding others. Sometimes I'm just happy being a follower.

Dirty old men

I had the very unpleasant and unfortunate experience of encountering a dirty old perv this afternoon.

My car was parked in a dead end road and I saw this odd guy but didn't make a fuss and just got into the car and locked the doors just in case. I had to reverse out of the street so I manouvered my car around and I caught a glimpse of a sudden movement coming from his direction and, yep he was touching himself in broad daylight. It was disgusting but I pretended not to have seen anything and just reversed out onto the main road. I then noticed that he was still staring but I just drove away with no reaction whatsoever.

I've heard many stories like this but never actually experienced it myself, and it's really quite shocking.

The Grinch has come to stay

Who wants to spend their weekend with me at St. James Cavalier? There's lots going on and I need some culture (aside from keeping busy)!

I've made my Christmas present demand - I want a dvd player. I never ask for presents cos I like the surprise, unless there's something that I really want/need/must have. But this year my brother demanded a cd writer so I'm going to be demanding too. My present still cots less than his cos I'm not after anything fussy, just one that works - as opposed to the one that I currently have which doesn't. The Christmas season really is a time of goodwill isn't it?!
