It was a really fun evening, although at one point it was stifling inside; I'm sure there were puddles of makeup forming on the floor! The film itself was fabulous! I really enjoyed it and I think most men would too actually; I'll try it out on mine. After all he did watch the entire box set with me. Bless.
One thing that I particularly loved was the soundtrack which is already on my To Buy list and especially this song which is a karaoke moment that the girls had - don't worry, it's not a spoiler.
And so you can have your karaoke moment too, here are the lyrics:
I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again
Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman
You can bend but never break me
'cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
'cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul
I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin' arms across the land
But I'm still an embryo
With a long long way to go
Until I make my brother understand
Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to I can face anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman
Oh, I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong
I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong
I am woman
Did you watch SATC 2? What was your favourite part?
i loved the karaoke scene! i'm having a hard time deciding which my favourite part was...probably all the scenes with samantha in them!
ReplyDeleteYeah Samantha was fab! I think she's the one who changed the least over the years in terms of character.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved seeing all the funky fashion! I must admit I went on an un-budgeted shopping spree the next day!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to watch it yet. When there was the premier I was heading towards Bay Street to buy a gift..On my way back home, still in my work "attire", I couldn't resist and had to take a picture of all the made-up, high-heeled women on the 'red carpet'...
ReplyDeleteI didn't spot you as I would have obviously stopped to say hi, though I'll pass on the pictures if you like..
