Steps Towards Positivity

Between my previous post and the one that I'm writing now, I had my birthday and turned 28. For some reason I have a feeling that 28 will be a good year. Well, there are already indications as to why that will happen; however, overall I predict positivity.

Speaking about positivity, that's something that I've been looking into recently. There are many factors that can affect one's mood and whether one gives out positive vibes or not. It stems from simple things like a smile, the way one carries oneself, the colours one wears (bright colours are positive), and so on.

I believe that people tend to blame the media for feeling insecure about the way we look/our job/our lifestyle, or to blame past events or other people - simply because it's easier to shift the blame than to accept it and deal with it. However, before we learn to love who we are and what we do, then we cannot be positive. And if we cannot appreciate ourselves, then how can others appreciate us?

We all have our bad days, denying that would be foolish and a lie; it's when the bad days become every day that problems arise. I'm not a mentor in this, if anything I'm more the student, working everyday towards being more positive in life. However, I believe that it's good to talk about these matter and I'm not afraid or ashamed to say that I could be more positive in my outlook on things and I am working on it. If you can relate to me, leave me a comment!

Happiness is not in our circumstances, but in ourselves. It is not something we see, like a rainbow, or feel, like the heat of a fire. Happiness is something we are

  2. My bf is a Gemini so you're all right ;)

Apparently you folk tend to go to extremes, which I believe could be the case, so probably that's why you call it moodiness.
