Yesterday I finished reading Cecelia Ahern's The Gift. I really enjoy her books because they're whimsical and different. They've got a tinge of chick-lit to them without being totally stereotypical or sticky with sweetness.
I don't think they'll be everyone's cup of tea because there's a certain amount of faith, magic, un-realism to them which people might snub their noses at, but that's why I like them so much - because there's the element of believing in them.
So if you want to try something new to read, pick up a Cecelia Ahern book. For those of you who have read her novels, what's your opinion?
Agree with you re the chick-lit element, but The Gift in particular is different somehow. I'd recommend it even to someone who might not enjoy her other books. Great message.
