Yesterday we had dinner al fresco by a historical watch tower and watched the fireworks of the St. Julians feast (or festas as they're called). Festas are the height of summer. Each town or village that has a parish celebrates their feast which is a weekend of fireworks, a procession and street vendors selling everything from food to toys.
Yesterday's festa was that of our neighbouring town and the fireworks are set off from a barge just outside the bays so we had a very good view of all the lights in the sky. And the noise that goes with them...
Thankfully the evenings just got a bit cooler too.
I hope that you're all having a wonderful weekend.
