Flower Treats

On our way home from the gym yesterday I decided to stop at the flower vendor who parks her van in a neighbouring town every Saturday and treat the house (and myself) to some flowers. This is what I picked up.

Hidden Treasures

Despite having moved out of home almost 2 years ago I'm still clearing out my bedroom! So I went to continue with the clear out and it's amazing the things that you discover lurking behind things, such as this half bottle of rose wine that had been given to me (and my colleagues) when we were summer group leaders as a parting gift of the season. I placed it on my shelf and forgot about it... till it was re-discovered with a somewhat dusty coat. It's been dated back to 2001... would that make it vintage?! ;)

The wine label is covered by the company sticker

Have you ever found any hidden 'treasures' in your house?

Valletta Boat Show

There was the Valletta Boat Show last weekend which is organised by a local bank and the company that I work for so we went to the launch party where we got to see the unveiling of 2 new Ferraris along with a whole row of lovely power boats and yachts. And there was free flowing wine which is always a nice touch ;)

These photos were taken on Sunday in the sunshine not on launch night :)

Night at Casino di Venezia

We were invited to the launch of the new season's menu at the Casino di Venezia this week where we were given a tour of the Casino - and a card too as we're now registered to go and play there should be wish to do so!

Then we got to sample some of the foods on the menu which were really delicious, not to mention the desserts which were decadent at best! Plus the restaurant has a lovely terrace with tables and chairs or should you prefer to lounge, there are outdoor sofas for that. And the view in Birgu is really very magnificent. For one there are some breathtaking ships berthed at the Marina that are just so beautiful (and expensive!)

Invitations to these events are definitely a perk of my job ;)

Return from the Emerald Isle

I'm back from a 12-day holiday in the Emerald Isle, aka Ireland. There are plenty of photos to upload and share, and many stories to tell; however, this little update will have to do for now.

I just wanted to say Hello again and wish you all a very good night (or day should that be the case when you read this). I'll be catching up with your blogs in due course ;)
