Will & Kate's Big Date

Tomorrow is the Royal Wedding. I know that many people are up to their ears in news about it but I'm enjoying it all, after all it's only the biggest even in royal history since the Charles and Di wedding (and we all know how that ended up) so here's hoping the couple long and happy days together. After all any couple getting married want their marriage to be happy and successful. Well, maybe if you're marrying someone for a green card not so much...

Perhaps it's only natural that I'm excited because I'm planning my own wedding so things like flowers, dresses and invitations are very important to me at present. Apart from Kate's dress, I'm also curious to see what the mother of the bride will be wearing. I'm sure it was thoroughly vetted by the powers that be. It's also sad that Diana isn't present to witness her eldest son's wedding; I'm sure she would've been stunning.

Happy Easter

To all my lovely readers out there, I wish you a very Happy Easter with lots of delicious food and yummy goodness. We're invited to my relatives for lunch, and the great thing is that she is a wonderful cook, so yummy goodness is definitely on the menu. I hope that the sun will be shining so that we can enjoy time outside munching on our Easter eggs. Oh, and isn't this chick just the cutest, fluffy thing?!

Cheers for Tiers

My latest want is a tiered cake stand. Preferably with three tiers and vintage looking. Dainty and pretty that will make biscuits, cake and sandwiches look delicious. To inspire me to have tea parties and fun times around the table with lovely people and delightful conversation. Now I just need to find one.

50 Ways to Cope with Stress

I like the mix of the quirkiness with the seriousness. It's how life should be lived.

De-Clutter your Life

Claire shared this very interesting article on Twitter and I thought that I should share it with you guys because I do think that it makes a lot of sense.

The process of cleaning and de-cluttering is such a therapeutic one. The article speaks about broken relationships in particular; however, I think that a seasonal habit of throwing out old stuff that is no longer necessary in your life and home should be encouraged. The added space and clear surfaces bring about a sense of freshness and freedom. That's not to say that you shouldn't replace the old stuff with new things, but I think that it's better to replace than to hoard.

Some people are natural hoarders, I know that. Obviously, if that works for you, then keep it that way - you'll be very popular when it comes to treasure hunts as everyone knows that you are probably one of the few people who has got a rusty thimble!

Wicked

We went to London last weekend for a weekend break; a trip that had been booked since August 2010! See, at the time there was a good offer on flights so we decided to take advantage of it. After all, the day would eventually arrive and it gave us something to look forward to.

And the day did indeed arrive (and went by very quickly too) but we had a great time. Highlight of the trip was definitely going to watch Wicked at the Apollo Theatre in Victoria. Here are a couple of photos that were snapped.

Here's me outside the theatre

This is the stage cover showing the map of Oz and the Emerald City (you can just make out the dragon up above too)

We bought the programme and CD pack and needless to say I've been listening to the CD on repeat (only at work though). It was a really wonderful show and I would highly recommend that you go and watch it should you be in London anytime soon.
