Picture To Do List

I'm back home in between trips abroad. We've done two out of three till now! Yes, it's fun; however, I can't say that I'm not tired. Waiting around in airports can take its toll and being stuck in an aeroplane seat for 3-odd hours is not my idea of fun either. But we've managed :)

Obviously being away means that other things get put to the side and these are just some of the things that I need to do - update this blog and my website, do the laundry (you end up with many piles after going away) , sort out my summer clothes from my winter clothes (I still have a mishmash of everything), book myself in for hair removal (always more frequently needed during the summer months), go grocery shopping because there I'm starting to feel like Old Mother Hubbard (we didn't want to leave any perishables when we were away) and finally get a suntan (something that doesn't come very easily to me although I did manage to get some colour
while I was away!)

Hair today, gone tomorrow

Isn’t it weirdly wonderful how there are men out there that look really great with facial hair? And then there are those who just look old and ragged? I must say that I’m quite partial to facial hair on a man. Not a huge Moses beard that looks like your gran’s old rug... but a trimmed, well-kept goatee/beard is a yes for me along with moustache preferably. I’m not too keen on the blob of hair that looks as though the man rested his chin on a bird’s nest whilst doused in glue. In that case opt for facial hair removal and remove it all. Or else just grow a bit more of it on the sides.

Of course then there are those men who, hair or no hair, they’re always handsome ;)

Till we meet again

I'm going away for a little while so I probably won't be updating till I'm back. Take care everyone and have a great weekend!

I'm a Blogger

I've recently been interviewed about this blog and you can read what I had to say here. Apparently you can even vote for my blog, so if you fancy it go right ahead.

I'm feeling proud that I've been a lot more consistent with my updates and am 'taking care' of this blog a lot better now although I'm not sure how much I'll be updating when I'm abroad.

Oh have I mentioned that I'm going to be away for 12 days as from tomorrow? Very family-oriented holiday with a Holy Communion and a wedding thrown in for good measure; however, I'm really looking forward to it! I will have internet access so I might upload some photos and bits of news if I have time.

I am woman, hear me roar

The world is currently going through 2 fevers. One is obviously the upcoming World Cup; the other? Sex & the City 2 naturally! The premier was held last week in various locations including Malta where hundreds of women (and a few brave soldiers) gathered at the cinema that was decked out with a red carpet, SATC lookalikes, belly dancers and lots of freebies to join our favourite four NY women once again.

It was a really fun evening, although at one point it was stifling inside; I'm sure there were puddles of makeup forming on the floor! The film itself was fabulous! I really enjoyed it and I think most men would too actually; I'll try it out on mine. After all he did watch the entire box set with me. Bless.

One thing that I particularly loved was the soundtrack which is already on my To Buy list and especially this song which is a karaoke moment that the girls had - don't worry, it's not a spoiler.

And so you can have your karaoke moment too, here are the lyrics:

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again

Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman

You can bend but never break me
'cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
'cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul

I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin' arms across the land
But I'm still an embryo
With a long long way to go
Until I make my brother understand

Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to I can face anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman
Oh, I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong

I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong
I am woman

Did you watch SATC 2? What was your favourite part?
