Looking back over Christmas I did pretty well with presents this year (lol)! Most of which I got, and opened, throughout December and did not wait until Christmas Day!

... and my Christmas bonus which I used to buy myself presents! Hehe. I also have another 2 presents on the way =)

Definitely a good materialistic year! Yesterday I decided to venture into Next for their sale and I had a speedy shopping spree where I came out with 4 tops, 2 pairs of trousers and a pair of shoes - in 15 minutes! The only thing that I tried on where the shoes, the rest of the stuff I sort of looked at and decided Yeah it'll fit! The tops are all summer tops which I will fit waiting for me when the weather gets warm again, the shoes too cos they're wedgey sandals. Then I got a pair of lounging-at-home trousers which are super warm and comfy, and a pair of jogging trousers for the gym. Definitely pleased with my purchases =)

I have a proper week off coming up cos I'm only working at SJ Cav on Saturday morning so I will be a proper lady of leisure during this time! Bliss!

Boxing Day

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Mine was very quiet - lunch at home, followed by a long drive and then a DVD in the evening. I finally watched Sex & the City: The Movie! I hadn't gone to the grand opening because I was in Lanzarote when it came out here and then I never got round to watching it at the cinema, so yesterday as I was scrolling through the film titles I saw it and decided that I must watch it! It was sweet =)

This morning I watched a Christmas film on TV which was cute! It was about Santa's son, Nick (obviously), who is taking over the responsibility and one of his reindeer gets kidnapped and sold to a zoo... so some hassles ensue but it obviously turns out ok in the end and the presents are delivered and Nick finds himself a wife. Awwww...

Now I'm at work at SJ Cav, got another 55 minutes here. And I'm back here tomorrow morning too. But I still feel that I'm on leave since I'm not going into the office this week and next!

I think this evening I'll get down to downloading some more apps to my iPhone. My brother got a light saber on his which is hilarious and an old telephone dial which you can actually call with but it takes ages! I remember our old telephone at home, it was black and lived in the sitting room.

I got some great presents though! I'm wearing 2 of them at the moment =) A really warm fluffy scarf from Secret Santa @ SJ Cav and a lovely pair of earrings from my ma.

Shivers

I slept with two quilts last night! I felt really cold the previous night so I just went for the overkill. At some point during the night I threw one off because I found it on the floor in the morning, but I definitely fell asleep feeling warm and much more comfortable. This evening I got out my electric blanket and it's on right now toasting my sheets... Mmmm! With my room being at the end of the flat my outer wall faces Balluta Bay and so gets pretty cold, plus I have a balcony and aluminium doors are infamous for letting in draughts :/

Long weekend ahoy :) I'm working tomorrow morning but I'll be done by 13:00 and then my real weekend begins! I'm meeting my mother in Valletta and we're going to buy my Christmas present hehe. Might catch up on Heroes in the afternoon so that I can finally start Season 3! And then I've got birthday drinks in the evening so that should be nice and relaxed.

I really hope that Monday turns out to be a sunny day because I want to spend it outdoors :)

Today I discovered a liking for shandy! I always have soft drinks at Friday drinks whilst the guys are drinking Heineken - but I don't like beer at all! So I gave shandy a try and it was nice :) So I think I've found a new Friday drinks drink.

I finally sorted out my summer and winter wardrobes this evening too so all my summer clothes have been relegated to 'the bottom drawer' and the winter stuff is out. I need a bit of a shopping spree though ;)
