New PeaSea

On Thursday or Friday I will have my new PC :) I got my loan approved by the bank this morning but I have to go back tomorrow to finalise everything and get the cheque. The people of the computer shop already started preparing it for me because I called them to see when I could collect it and he told me, 'Yes we were given the go-ahead already so call again on Thursday, maybe you can collect it then'.

My first TFT screen :) That's what I'm excited about! And I told my brother to buy me a webcam as a birthday present which he agreed to.

Definitely a nice addition to my room.

Mmmm, just had a delicious plate of Penne Bolognaise. I'm going for a walk in an hour so it would have digested by then and can be burnt off hehe.

Today I was thinking about what I want for my birthday and I think this year I'd like services rather than goods. Services such as a mani/pedi, a facial, a massage... pampering ones. I could do with them! I'm still undecided as to how I'm celebrating, but I think it will just be a random get-together somewhere and whoever wants to drop by is more than welcome. And drinks will also be more than welcome ;)

Moths in my pocket

Finally my weekend has started! I finished work at 23:30 yesterday from SJ Cav because we had 2 plays showing, one which started at 23:00! An alternative play, with an alternative time apparently. I was shattered by the end of it.

And this morning it was my Saturday morning shift but thankfully that's just from 09:00 - 12:00. Answered e-mails, updated the website... morning passed by quickly.

I realised that I'm in quite a bit of debt :S I hate that! I didn't realise just how much I would be spending on private lessons, and he's the cheapest option that I found! But at least it will be over by April. And I have a couple of other things to just pay once and get them over and done with. Financial instability is not something that I want to deal with in life.

It's quite a nice day today so I shall walk down to Sliema with a friend. But first I need to wash my hair, my only opportunity to do so!

Shopping!

Another weekend is over. I could have really done with another day because I woke up feeling so so tired this morning. Mainly due to the fact that I stayed up late last night working on my Accounts homework. Ever the diligent student. But really it's because there's just three and a half months left until the exam and I need to get my act together. Also the beginning of April is going to be a busy one because Paul will be here so I really need to prepare from now.

On Saturday I met Niki in the afternoon and we went to Sliema and then to Bay Street. I was adamant that I wouldn't buy anything - not because I didn't want to, but because I'm very broke - however, I crumbled and purchased. A pair of kick-ass high heeled shoes and a travel bag - well, a large-ish bag that I will use for hand luggage when I go abroad. I also got my first birthday present (just six weeks early!) from Niki because I liked a bag and it was on sale - so it's a win-win situation ;)

Panto

Yesterday evening I went to watch this year's offering of Panto with my mother and brother - front row seats baby! Worth the 2h45m wait in the queue (according to my mother cos she waited, whilst I was galavanting in the Canaries!)

It was such a wonderful show. Very musical and funny and family-oriented - the double-entendres were there but quite mild, which I approve of given the number of kids that there'll be in the audience. I knew the majority of the people on stage and it was really fun watching them, watching me, watching them. I got a couple of nods/winks/smiles :) And was delivered chocolate Euros especially into my lap from Rachel.

There were only two characters that I didn't particularly agree with the choice of actor for - I won't say who just in case they're friends/relatives (I pity you :P) But everyone else gave a magnificent performance and it was really magical - just as a Panto should be. The scenery was also very spectacular and the underwater scenes were breathtaking. Quite amazing for a stage.

My favourite scenes (and it's difficult to choose) would probably have to be Captain Silver LongJohn (John Marinelli) and his swashbuckling pirates singing No More Mr. Nice Guy from Disney's 'The Swan Princess'; Pia Zammit singing Whatever Happened to my Part from Monty Python's 'Spamalot'- she played Skoda Octavia - but in this scene, she was playing Pia Zammit the Diva - you can see a clip of the song here . It was beautiful dahlink! The underwater scene, as I already mentioned, was something spectacular, and I love that they used You Can't Stop the Beat from 'Hairspray' - such a happy song!

Quite possibly my January highlight! I'm sure tickets are completely sold out (like, a month ago) but if you know someone who's going, push them down the stairs and take their tickets. It's worth it!

2008

Welcome 2008!

Yes, I know I abandoned this place for a long time. Since August in fact, and I was writing elsewhere (although not that much either) but that site has gone slightly wonky so I thought I'd resurrect this!

I don't know who is still writing or who has abandoned ship, like I had, but please feel free to recommend any great blogs to me. I'll update my list :)

I've updated my profile and photo so you can all recognise me now hehe. I'm not going to write anything lengthy for the moment. I still need to regain familiarity with the place but I'll be back.

Open for (nice) comments. No tips required.
