Because there's nothing much to write about

nondescript

crestfallen

Words of the day...aren't they fun?! :P

In other news, I yesterday found out that at my friend's party, the barman, who was also a friend gave me orange juice instead of a vodka-orange to see if I would notice.. and I didn't! Goes to show my state of mind!!! *cringe*

No longer a student

I've done my last exam and my student life as an MA Qualifying student is over!! Phew! It's been an interesting year that's for sure, definitely unlike my other uni years and probably different to most student's experiences at uni! And it was good! I loved every second of it - I really liked the people in my class, and I really enjoyed all my lectures (even the ones that were slightly more boring than the others!)

And all I can say is that until now I've got 3 A's and a B, so that's a good sign :)

I spent the afternoon at the beach with Nat and some people of her course and we really laughed. I didn't swim :( but I sure got a tan! We drank, we ate, we drank some more and we ate some more - a very good recipe for a post-exam chill-out session. Tomorrow I am OFF (woo hoo) and then Wednesday I go back to work. But for now I'm ready to go to bed and RELAX!

Crouch down says the ref

Bel said it best with "not even worth a carcade", and she's right. The first four minutes of the game were great but then what happened?! There were a couple of good shots from Becks in the first half, and a great attempt from Gerrard (naturally, he plays with Liverpool :)), but other than that, I was happier eating my brownie in ice-cream which got me really stuffed!

Germany's game was great though! Now that's proper football entertainment! Although I was watching it alone at home, and was really tired and fell asleep towards the end of the second half so I missed the last goal!

But this World Cup thing is fun I must say.

Meat on grass

The FIFA World Cup 2006 has started. It's currently half-time of the first game between Germany and Costa Rica and the score is 2-1. I'm not so much a fan of football, although I do always watch the World Cup, but I'm more of a fan of men in shorts ;)

It's all about Michael Owen

First final tomorrow, but I'm not worried. Actually I'm more worried about the fact that I'm not worried that about the exam! Mah!

Then Sting on Tuesday which should be very cool :)

Holiday on Wednesday (but not really! hehe)

And then Friday it all starts... yep, for some reason I am very excited about this World Cup! I have my St.Patrick's-Day-style England hat ready, my scores for the pools (cos what's a sporting event without a bit of gambling) and my best cheering voice. The only thing I lack is the appreciation of beer, which, so I'm told, adds to the flavour of the game. But I'm a stereotypical female when it comes to alcohol and will make do with alcopops :) Or vodka in any case!

And now it's back to the files that have found refuge on my bed for the past 2 weeks - I knew that buying a big big bed would come in useful - and trying to figure out research methods *sigh*
